6XL R1 - Part 8 - Power Whip

Shawn immediately noticed the sudden stillness in the bellsprout’s body. This was not a good sign. The opposing team had lifetimes of experience under their belt and despite how well she knew the old man, there were surprises she knew he had yet to show her. "Now toss them, Wilson!"
The stones were propelled viciously through the air but the bellsprout was nowhere to be seen. As if it dissolved into the air, the grass pokemon had vanished and the dangerous boulders crashed into floor before the broken chunks returned to bob gently midair.
Little did the opposing team know, Vinny had latched himself onto a large floating stone nearby. Wally knew that he had no more need to instruct the bellsprout and sat back to watch silently. While still unseen, the bellsprout bent backwards and flung himself high up into the air with the help of a few vines and wound up for a devastating power whip attack. Far below, he saw the face of the slowking widen in surprise and its muscles tense in preparation to move out of the way but it was all in vain. Before the slowking could notice, Vinny had set up a grass knot around the opposing pokemon's ankles.
Gasping in shock, Shawn yelled desperately, "oh no, Wilson! Use sig-"
But before she could finish, the grass type had made contact.
